Voice of America (VOA) is planning to partner with One America News (OAN), according to Kari Lake, who serves as the senior adviser at the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM).

The proposed partnership would allow OAN, the conservative news outlet championed by President Trump after his 2020 election loss, to provide news feed services to USAGM networks, including the Office of Cuba Broadcasting, Radio Martí and VOA, Lake said.

“This is an enormous benefit to the American taxpayer, who is the sole-source of funding for USAGM’s news outlets, which broadcast only to international audiences,” Lake said in a statement posted on the social platform X last week.

OAN is small conservative media outlet known primarily for promoting Trump’s unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud after losing to former President Biden in 2020 — as well as other false claims about the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines.
